Epson print head cleaning kit from Fixyourownprinter.com review. |
The guys from fixyourownprinter gave me one of these kits to try out. The kit comes
with a small syringe and a 1 ounce bottle of the print head cleaning solution
and the instructions. As for me "I don't need any stinking instructions" but
if you have never worked on a printer before you will need them. And they are very
easy to follow. I tried the solution on a Epson Stylus Color 440 and 640.
It unclogged the 440 right off the bat but the 640 did take a few minutes to
soak then ta da it was unclogged. Next I tried it on a Epson Stylus Color
C60 which the black was really clogged due to really cheap "ink4art" ink cartridges.
It unclogged it with no problem.. One more C60 with a really bad clog.
It took a few tries but it was revived with no problems. I tried the kit
with a C80 but the C80 had other problems which prevented me from printing a test
page with the printer. One thing to keep in mind is these printers only had clogged print heads. And I did not force the print head cleaning solution into the print heads. I injected the solution very S L O W L Y. If I would have injected the solution too quickly or used too much force I could have damaged the print head. So the only two things I can really say about the Epson print head cleaning kit from fixyourownprinter.com is if you take your time and not rush things and let the solution do the work you will be successful in unclogging the print head. And if you have a damaged print head or your print head failed no amount of any cleaning solution will revive a dead print head. Kinda like you can put gas in a car but if the engine is bad it still won't work. Ya' get the idea. But for $9.95 + shipping it's well worth having on hand just incase you ever need it. Kit Includes: 1 oz bottle Epson Stylus head cleaning solution (enough to fix several printers) 1 syringe applicator for dispensing solution Simple directions for use |

Submitting a product for review. A submission can be from a business of any size.
Home based, Internet, or retail store. I won't review the same product from two
companies. I won't accept any compensation for the review nor will a banner ad
be placed in the review. I will add a text link to the product in the review
as is presented above. Some reviews will be long term and some will be short term.
So if I get a ink cartridge to review I will post the review after the ink
cartridge had been used. If it is bulk ink I will post the review after the first
refill is completed and then a follow-up after the full contents of the ink
has been used. |
