WHY ME??? |
CLOGGED PRINT HEAD |
One reason the print head gets clogged after you replaced the ink cartridge is because
once the carriage moves off of the "Cap Assembly" the ink on the face side
of the print head dries out. The longer the carriage is off of the "Cap Assembly"
increases the chances of getting a clog. So instead of having the carriage in the "Replace ink" postition and removing the old ink cartridge then taking the new ink cartridge out of the package and out of the airtight wrapper then removing the pull tab seal and then installing the new ink cartridge try this method. Remove the new ink cartridge from the package and wrapper pull the pull tab seal off then have the carriage in the "Replace ink" position and then remove the old ink cartridge and then quickly install the new ink cartridge and return the carriage to it's normal position. Using this method reduces the time the print head is exposed to the air. Which decreases the chance of getting a clog. |
