WASTE INK PAD SERVICING
You are now ready to remove the waste ink pad. Most of the time they will slide off without any resistance but now and then they will give a little resistance. Just put the printer on it's back and slowly remove the waste ink container. Now that the container is out all you need to do is replace/clean the waste ink pads. Just remove the screw (you might want to put on some latex/rubber gloves for this part)  remove the two pads and clean them out. Running water will do the trick. Avoid using a washing machine because it may ruin the pads.
Remove this screw and remove the cover

And once the pads are clean or replaced you can reassemble the waste pad container and reassemble the printer. Then run the SSC service utility  and reset the the counter. Note: I have tried to make this as easy to folllow as i could. A few points might have been omitted to keep this page as simple as possible. Without leaving out the main points of the process. I hope this page was helpful in servicing your printer.
